Instructions
- In a blender or food processor, blend the cottage cheese until smooth and creamy.
- Whip cream: In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- Combine mixtures: Gently fold the blended cottage cheese into the whipped cream until well combined.
- Add sweetener: Stir in the honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt, mixing until everything is evenly incorporated.
- Chill: Transfer the mousse into serving bowls or a large dish. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld.
- Prepare for serving: Before serving, give the mousse a gentle stir.
- Garnish: Top with fresh fruit, chocolate shavings, or a dusting of cocoa powder if desired.
Notes
- This mousse can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge for up to two days.
