Description
A soothing and aromatic ginger tea made with fresh ginger, spices, and lemon.
Ingredients

- 1 (1-inch) ginger root (peeled, rough chopped)
- 3 cups water
- 1 cinnamon stick
- ¼ teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
Instructions
- Add ginger and water to a saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Once boiling, add the cinnamon stick, turmeric, and cayenne pepper.
- Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in the lemon juice.
- Pour through a strainer into a mug, discarding any solids.
- Add honey to taste.

- This tea is a great remedy for colds and can be enjoyed hot or cold.
