  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup confectioners’ sugar (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, and salt. Dissolve yeast in warm milk and let sit for 5 minutes until foamy. Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and egg to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  2. Prepare the Filling: Mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Wash and slice the strawberries.
  3. Assemble the Rolls: Roll out the dough into a rectangle about 12×8 inches on a floured surface. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough. Evenly distribute the sliced strawberries on top of the cream cheese mixture. Roll the dough tightly into a log from the long side. Cut into 1-inch slices and place them in a greased baking dish.
  4. Bake the Rolls: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Cover the rolls and let them rise again for 20 minutes. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Prepare the Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together heavy cream and confectioners’ sugar until smooth. Drizzle the glaze over warm rolls before serving.
