Description

This creamy peanut butter frosting is perfect for cakes and cupcakes.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 ¾ cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl with an electric hand mixer, beat the butter for 1 minute until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the peanut butter, cream cheese, and vanilla to the butter. Beat for 1 more minute.
  3. Add one cup of powdered sugar to the peanut butter mixture. Turn the mixer on low and beat for 5 seconds, then turn the mixer on medium and beat for 1 more minute.
  4. Add the remaining powdered sugar and beat 1 more minute.
  5. Use immediately or store in the refrigerator until ready to use.

Notes

  • This frosting pairs well with chocolate or vanilla cakes.
  • For a thicker consistency, add more powdered sugar.
