Description

This homemade pizza dough is easy to prepare and perfect for your favorite toppings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (136g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 cup Greek yogurt

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and Greek yogurt. Mix with a spatula until shaggy clumps begin to form.
  3. Continue to mix and knead the dough with the spatula, and then your hands, until it comes together, ultimately forming a smooth ball of dough.
  4. Transfer the dough to a floured surface or parchment paper. Use your hands or a lightly floured rolling pin to flatten and shape the dough into a circle. Roll it out to your desired thickness. Transfer the pizza dough to the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Dress up the dough with your favorite sauce and toppings. If you prefer a crispier crust, bake the dough on its own for 5 minutes before topping and putting it back in the oven to finish baking.
  6. Bake the pizza for 10 to 20 minutes until it has slightly puffed up, the edges are starting to turn brown, and the cheese has melted.
  7. If you don’t pre-bake, you will have a soft, tender crust.
  8. Once baked, remove the baking sheet from the oven and allow the pizza to rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a crispier crust, pre-bake the dough for 5 minutes before adding toppings.
  • Let the pizza rest for 5 minutes before slicing to retain heat and flavor.
