Description

A delicious combination of steak, eggs, and loaded french fries topped with cheese and fresh parsley.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound steak (ribeye or sirloin), thinly sliced
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 pound frozen french fries
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Fries: Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the french fries package. Spread the frozen fries in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake as per the package instructions until crispy and golden brown.
  2. Cook the Steak: Season the sliced steak with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak slices and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Cook the Eggs: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add butter. Once melted, crack the eggs into the skillet. Cook until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny for over-easy eggs, or longer for firmer yolks.
  4. Assemble the Loaded Fries: Once the fries are cooked, transfer them to a serving platter. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese over the hot fries. Top with cooked steak, then sprinkle the remaining cheese. Place the eggs on top of the cheese and steak. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
  5. Melt the Cheese: Place the loaded fries under a broiler for 1-2 minutes just to melt the cheese.

Notes

  • For additional flavor, add sautéed onions or mushrooms to the steak.
  • Use a mix of cheese, like mozzarella and cheddar, for a creamier texture.
  • For a spicy kick, add sliced jalapeños or a drizzle of hot sauce.
  • You can use leftover steak to save time. Just reheat and slice before adding to the fries.
