Description

Delicious and refreshing homemade peppermint patties coated in chocolate.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk (Adjust for desired consistency)
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract (Can be adjusted for stronger flavor)
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (Dark or semi-sweet)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (For smooth melting)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the powdered sugar, milk, and peppermint extract. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  2. Take small spoonfuls of the mixture and shape them into small patty-like rounds. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Refrigerate the patties for about 30 minutes or until firm.
  4. While the patties are chilling, melt the chocolate chips together with the vegetable oil in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until fully melted and smooth.
  5. Dip each peppermint patty into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Gently shake off any excess chocolate and place them back onto the parchment paper.
  6. Return the dipped patties to the refrigerator for another 30 minutes, allowing the chocolate to set.
  7. Once the chocolate is firm, serve these delicious Homemade Peppermint Patties right away, or store them in an airtight container for later indulgence.

Notes

  • Feel free to adjust the peppermint extract to your taste preference.
  • Make sure the chocolate is fully melted and smooth for the best coating.
