Description
Delicious and refreshing homemade peppermint patties coated in chocolate.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup milk (Adjust for desired consistency)
- 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract (Can be adjusted for stronger flavor)
- 2 cups chocolate chips (Dark or semi-sweet)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (For smooth melting)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the powdered sugar, milk, and peppermint extract. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Take small spoonfuls of the mixture and shape them into small patty-like rounds. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Refrigerate the patties for about 30 minutes or until firm.
- While the patties are chilling, melt the chocolate chips together with the vegetable oil in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until fully melted and smooth.
- Dip each peppermint patty into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Gently shake off any excess chocolate and place them back onto the parchment paper.
- Return the dipped patties to the refrigerator for another 30 minutes, allowing the chocolate to set.
- Once the chocolate is firm, serve these delicious Homemade Peppermint Patties right away, or store them in an airtight container for later indulgence.
Notes
- Feel free to adjust the peppermint extract to your taste preference.
- Make sure the chocolate is fully melted and smooth for the best coating.
