Description

Enjoy your elegant and flavorful Herb Butter Grilled Lobster Tails!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 lobster tails
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • lemon wedges, for serving
  • extra parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Lobster Tails:

    • Using kitchen scissors, carefully cut the top shell down to the fin.
    • Gently pry the meat from the shell, lifting it slightly while keeping it attached at the fin end.
    • Rest the meat on top of the shell.
  2. Make the Herb Butter:

    • In a small bowl, combine melted butter, parsley, chives, lemon zest, and minced garlic.
    • Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.
  3. Season the Lobster:

    • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
    • Brush the lobster meat with the herb butter mixture, ensuring it’s well coated.
    • Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Grill the Lobster Tails:

    • Place the lobster tails shell side down on the grill.
    • Grill for about 8-10 minutes, basting occasionally with more herb butter until the meat is opaque and cooked through.
    • Be careful not to overcook, as lobster can become tough.
  5. Finishing Touches:

    • Once done, remove from the grill.
    • Garnish with extra parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

  • Keep an eye on the lobster to avoid overcooking; it should be tender and opaque.
  • For added flavor, consider adding a bit of smoked paprika or cayenne pepper to the butter mix for a hint of spice.
  • If you don’t have a grill, you can broil the lobster tails in the oven; just keep the shell side up.
