Ingredients
Scale
- 4 lobster tails
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh chives, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper
- lemon wedges, for serving
- extra parsley for garnish
Instructions
-
Prepare the Lobster Tails:
- Using kitchen scissors, carefully cut the top shell down to the fin.
- Gently pry the meat from the shell, lifting it slightly while keeping it attached at the fin end.
- Rest the meat on top of the shell.
-
Make the Herb Butter:
- In a small bowl, combine melted butter, parsley, chives, lemon zest, and minced garlic.
- Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.
-
Season the Lobster:
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Brush the lobster meat with the herb butter mixture, ensuring it’s well coated.
- Season with salt and pepper.
-
Grill the Lobster Tails:
- Place the lobster tails shell side down on the grill.
- Grill for about 8-10 minutes, basting occasionally with more herb butter until the meat is opaque and cooked through.
- Be careful not to overcook, as lobster can become tough.
-
Finishing Touches:
- Once done, remove from the grill.
- Garnish with extra parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
Notes
- Keep an eye on the lobster to avoid overcooking; it should be tender and opaque.
- For added flavor, consider adding a bit of smoked paprika or cayenne pepper to the butter mix for a hint of spice.
- If you don’t have a grill, you can broil the lobster tails in the oven; just keep the shell side up.
