Description

Delicious grilled chicken burgers topped with homemade tzatziki sauce and fresh veggies.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lbs)
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 medium cucumber, grated
  • 4 burger buns (ciabatta or pita recommended)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken: In a bowl, mix lemon juice, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Add chicken breasts and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Grill the chicken: Preheat your grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat. Grill each breast for 6-8 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Make tzatziki sauce: Combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber (squeezed to remove excess water), minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix well.
  4. Assemble the burgers: Toast burger buns if desired. Place grilled chicken on the bottom half of each bun and top generously with tzatziki sauce and your choice of fresh veggies.
  5. Serve immediately with extra tzatziki on the side.

  • For a spicier kick, consider adding some diced jalapeños to the tzatziki sauce.
