Description

Delicious deep-fried Oreo cheesecake bites that are sweet and irresistible.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 Oreo cookies
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling:
    • In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth.
    • Place the mixture in the fridge to chill for about 30 minutes.
  2. Assemble the Oreo Bites:
    • Twist each Oreo cookie to separate it.
    • Spoon a small amount of the cream cheese filling onto one side of the Oreo. Place the top back on and gently press.
  3. Prepare the Batter:
    • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt.
    • In another bowl, combine the milk, vanilla extract, and eggs. Beat well.
    • Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until smooth.
  4. Frying:
    • Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
    • Dip each Oreo into the batter, ensuring it is completely coated.
    • Carefully place the battered Oreos into the hot oil, a few at a time. Fry for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown.
    • Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  5. Serving:
    • Dust the fried Oreo bites with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

  • Ensure the oil is at the correct temperature to avoid soggy bites.
  • Don’t overcrowd the pot when frying, as it can lower the oil temperature.
  • Serve warm for the best experience.
  • Experiment by adding a pinch of cinnamon to the powdered sugar for extra flavor.
