- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Filling:
- In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Place the mixture in the fridge to chill for about 30 minutes.
- Assemble the Oreo Bites:
- Twist each Oreo cookie to separate it.
- Spoon a small amount of the cream cheese filling onto one side of the Oreo. Place the top back on and gently press.
- Prepare the Batter:
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine the milk, vanilla extract, and eggs. Beat well.
- Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until smooth.
- Frying:
- Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Dip each Oreo into the batter, ensuring it is completely coated.
- Carefully place the battered Oreos into the hot oil, a few at a time. Fry for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- Serving:
- Dust the fried Oreo bites with powdered sugar if desired.
