Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs. boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1½ cups barbecue sauce (this Korean BBQ sauce also works)
  • 3 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of a 6-quart crockpot.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the BBQ sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, and black pepper.
  3. Pour the BBQ sauce mixture over the chicken breasts.
  4. Close the slow cooker and cook on low for 3-4 hours.
  5. Enjoy as is, garnished with parsley, or shred and use for sandwiches.

Notes

  • For an extra kick, add your favorite hot sauce to the BBQ mixture.
  • Can be served with rice or on a bun for a BBQ chicken sandwich.
