- 2 lbs sweet potatoes, peeled and chopped
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/3 cup milk or heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 clove garlic, minced (optional)

- chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Peeled and chop the sweet potatoes into even chunks.
- Place them in a large pot, cover with salted water, and bring to a boil.
- Boil for 15–20 minutes, or until fork-tender.
- Drain the potatoes and let them sit for 2–3 minutes to release excess moisture.
- Return them to the pot and add butter, milk (or cream), salt, and pepper.
- Mash using a potato masher or hand mixer until smooth and creamy.
- Taste and adjust seasoning. Add more butter or milk for extra creaminess if desired.
- Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with herbs, chili flakes, or a drizzle of melted butter.
- Serve warm and enjoy!

- For a lighter version, you can substitute butter with olive oil.
