A delicious and creamy twist on traditional mashed potatoes using pumpkin puree and warm spices.
Ingredients

- 2 pounds russet or Yukon gold potatoes
- 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Peel and chop the potatoes into evenly sized chunks.
- Place them in a large pot with cold water and a pinch of salt.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat and simmer until fork-tender (about 15-20 minutes).
- Drain the potatoes and let them steam for 5 minutes to remove excess moisture.
- In the same pot, add butter, pumpkin puree, heavy cream, salt, pepper, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
- Mash until smooth.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Serve warm in a bowl, drizzled with melted butter or garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
