- 500g spaghetti or linguine
- 500g ground chicken
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare Meatballs:
– In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, salt, and pepper.
– Mix well and form into small meatballs. - Cook Meatballs:
– Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
– Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.
– Remove meatballs from the skillet and set aside. - Cook Pasta:
– In a separate pot, cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside. - Prepare Creamy Sauce:
– In the same skillet used for the meatballs, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
– Pour in the chicken broth and let it simmer for 2 minutes.
– Add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, stirring until the sauce thickens slightly. - Combine Ingredients:
– Add the cooked pasta and meatballs back into the skillet. Toss everything together in the creamy sauce until well coated. - Serve:
– Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
– Serve hot.
Notes
- To enhance flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce for a slight kick.
- Use a mixture of ground chicken and turkey for a different flavor profile.
- If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of pasta water to reach the desired consistency.
- For extra richness, you can add a tablespoon of butter to the sauce before adding the pasta.
