Description
A delightful and easy-to-make dessert that combines shredded coconut and creamy goodness.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups sweetened shredded coconut
- 1 cup condensed milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- A pinch of salt
- White chocolate pearls or similar decorative topping (optional)
- Parchment paper
Instructions
- Prepare the Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the condensed milk, almond flour, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir until well mixed.
- Form the Snowballs: Using your hands, scoop small amounts of the mixture and roll them into balls, roughly 1 inch in diameter. You should have about 12 balls.
- Coat with Coconut: Spread the shredded coconut on a plate. Roll each ball in the coconut until fully covered. Press gently to ensure the coconut adheres well.
- Chill: Place the coconut-covered balls on a tray lined with parchment paper. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to set.
- Decorate: Once chilled, optionally place a white chocolate pearl on top of each snowball for decoration.
Notes
- If the mixture is too sticky when forming the balls, slightly dampen your hands with water.
- For added flavor, you can toast the coconut in a dry skillet over medium heat until golden before using it to coat the snowballs.
- These desserts can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
- If desired, substitute almond flour with ground nuts such as almonds or walnuts for a different texture.
