Description

A simple and delicious oatmeal recipe perfect for breakfast.


Ingredients

  • ½ cup old fashioned oats
  • 1 ½ tablespoons brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ⅛ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 ¼ cup water (or milk)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and kosher salt.
  2. In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Reduce the heat to low then add the oat mixture.
  3. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats soften and absorb the liquid.
  4. Remove the pan from the heat, cover, and let it sit for 4 minutes.
  5. Transfer oatmeal to a bowl and top with more brown sugar. Enjoy!
