Description

Delicious baked barbecue chicken, tender and flavorful.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 11 1/2 pounds boneless (skinless chicken breasts)
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375F.
  2. Add the chicken, olive oil, and dry spices to a sealable plastic bag.
  3. Close the bag and shake until the chicken is evenly coated with the spice rub.
  4. Arrange the chicken in a single layer in the bottom of an oven-safe baking dish.
  5. Pour half of the barbecue sauce over the chicken.
  6. Bake the chicken for 15 minutes.
  7. Flip the meat over, then top with the remaining barbecue sauce.
  8. Bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, until the meat is cooked through.

Notes

  • For best results, marinate the chicken with spices for a few hours before baking.
  • Adjust cooking time based on chicken thickness.
