Ingredients

- 1–1 1/2 pounds boneless (skinless chicken breasts)
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375F.
- Add the chicken, olive oil, and dry spices to a sealable plastic bag.
- Close the bag and shake until the chicken is evenly coated with the spice rub.
- Arrange the chicken in a single layer in the bottom of an oven-safe baking dish.
- Pour half of the barbecue sauce over the chicken.
- Bake the chicken for 15 minutes.
- Flip the meat over, then top with the remaining barbecue sauce.
- Bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, until the meat is cooked through.
Notes
- For best results, marinate the chicken with spices for a few hours before baking.
- Adjust cooking time based on chicken thickness.
