- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup milk (whole or 2%)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream (chilled)
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup fresh strawberries (sliced)
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 cup fresh raspberries
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Once the cake is cool, spread the whipped cream evenly over the top.
- Arrange the sliced strawberries in the shape of the flag’s stripes and place blueberries in the top left corner.
- Garnish with raspberries to complete the flag design.
- Slice and serve chilled.
