Description
This Cherry Cola Chocolate Cake is a delicious and unique dessert that combines chocolate cake with the sweet flavors of cherry cola and maraschino cherries.

- 1 box chocolate cake mix (any brand)
- 12 oz cherry cola
- 16 oz jar maraschino cherries (divided)
- 1 container Cool Whip
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Grease a 9×13 baking dish.
- Disregard the instructions on the cake mix box.
- Pour the dry chocolate cake mix into a mixing bowl.
- Add 12 oz cherry cola.
- Chop half of the maraschino cherries into quarters. Leave the remaining half whole.
- Add HALF of the cherries (both chopped and whole portions divided as desired) into the batter.
- Mix until fully combined and smooth.
- Pour batter into prepared 9×13 baking dish.
- Bake for 28–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cake cool completely.
- Stir a few spoonfuls of maraschino cherry juice into the Cool Whip until lightly pink and cherry flavored.
- Spread evenly over cooled cake.
- Refrigerate the frosted cake for at least 1 hour before serving.
- Top with remaining cherries if desired.
- Slice and enjoy!
